FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

This page provides answers to some of the most commonly asked questions. If you can't find what you're looking for, you can submit your own question to our front office staff via the Patient Portal.

WHAT KIND OF COVID-19 POLICIES DOES YOUR OFFICE HAVE IN PLACE?

You can reference this page on our site that lists all specific office policies pertaining to COVID-19 preparedness.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME TO MY VISIT?

Masks are required for all in attendance. If you forget to bring a mask, you can request one from the front desk.

All new patients (and any existing patients not seen since April of 2020) will need to present a copy their insurance card(s) to the front desk in order for them to be scanned into our new EHR system. The driver's license of the Responsible Party will also need to be scanned.

ARE THERE SPECIFIC INSURANCE CARRIERS NOT ACCEPTED BY YOUR PRACTICE?

Our office is not contracted with Peachstate, Ambetter, or LHS/Medcost. We are also unable to file claims for patients with Caresource plans specifically purchased from the healthcare exchange (i.e. Caresource plans not issued through Georgia Medicaid). Established patients who transition to these coverage types and wish to continue care with our practice will be considered self-pay.

CAN I SEND EMAILS WITH ATTACHMENTS TO OFFICE AND CLINICAL STAFF?

Sending unsecured emails to the office that include Protected Health Information (PHI) is not recommended. We always suggest sending such data via fax or standard mail whenever possible. If you do decide to send PHI via unsecured email (or request this function from our office and clinical staff), we cannot be held responsible if your PHI is compromised during transmission of such email messages.
